Why this exists
Most "best newsletters" lists are either years out of date or quietly paid for. Half the picks have stopped sending, and the rest are there because someone bought a slot. We wanted a list we could hand to a friend without caveats.
So every collection here is short, every newsletter on it was opened and read, and every one was confirmed active in the month shown on the page.
How we pick
- Active right nowWe open the archive and confirm a real issue went out recently. Dormant newsletters come off the list.
- Original workWriting, analysis or curation with a point of view. Not a feed of links anyone could scrape.
- Free to startEvery pick is free to read or has a real free tier. We say so when the best parts are paid.
- No paid placementsNobody pays to be listed and there are no affiliate links. We link straight to the newsletter.
Each listing shows the date we last checked it and links to a recent issue, so you can see the evidence yourself. We only quote subscriber numbers when a newsletter publishes them itself, and we link to where it says so. When a newsletter goes quiet for a couple of months, it comes off the list.
Who edits it
Junaid Khalid edits newsletters.ltd. He writes The Efficient Entrepreneur, a weekly newsletter about AI workflows for small teams, which he has published on both beehiiv and Substack. He also keeps a separate inbox just for subscribing to other people's newsletters, which is where most of these picks come from.
Independence and disclosure
Nobody pays to be listed, and there are no affiliate links: we link straight to each newsletter. newsletters.ltd is run by Ertiqah LLC, which also makes Meisa, an email platform for SaaS founders that sends through your own AWS SES account. Our guides mention Meisa where it is relevant, and we say plainly when another tool is a better fit.
